Silverstone Stowe - Tuesday 17th August - Martin Charles - 23/8/10
28 members booked to try this brand new circuit on our calendar, all like me I expect wondering what would it be like? I had also wondered how the likes of the B V8's, MG C's and big ZT type saloons might cope with the technical sections at either end of the loop, but my mind was put at ease on arrival when a saw the Silverstone experience day being run on it. If it is OK for the Ferrari's, Audi's and Aston Martin, it should be fine for us!
 First thing to strike you is the new Stowe circuit building, brand new with excellent sign-on, relaxation area, toilets, briefing room and top deck viewing gallery that not only allows you to see down on the whole of the Stowe circuit, but the lower end of the Hanger straight on the GP circuit as well. There are some garages, also brand new and although not enough to get all the cars in there is enough space for people to store their gear and work on a car if needed.All I can say following the feed back I got on the night and from e-mails after and posts on the forum is that it was a huge success. Lots of big grins and everybody queueing for their next session eager to get out, it was a good evening. 2 sessions each with there full one and quarter hours of track time, a couple of spins but no red sessions.
