This event is the rescheduled event from 28th October as per our e-mail to booked MGoT members and the news item HERE. A copy of the e-mail is reproduced below for your information.
Dear MGoT Member,
We have just been informed by Goodwood Circuit that they canno longer run our October track day on 28/10 as originally booked and they haveoffered us the Monday of the previous week, 21/10 as an alternative. Althoughwe have made it clear to Goodwood that we find this late change totallyunacceptable they will not negotiate their position so we are left with‘Hobson’s choice’
All fully paid participants on the original event (28October 2013) will have their booking transferred to the new event(21 October 2013). This will take place on 1st October2013 and will show on the MGoT website as a new event.
You have two options, and you must e-mail your choice notlater than 30th September 2013
- If you want to keep your booking, e-mail NigelS@mgs-on-track.co.uk to accept your place. Please be aware that we are unable to modify your booking, so all of the original options will still stand.
- If you are unable to accept your place on the new date you have until 30th September 2013 to cancel. You must do this by e-mail to NigelS@mgs-on-track.co.uk
Pleasedo not e-mail any other committee member or make phone calls.
The choice of options will close at mid-night on 30thSeptember 2013 and all the returned places will be put on the websitefor resale. Refunds will be made as a credit against the card account that youused to make your booking. Any cancellations will receive a full refundwith no deduction for card handling charges. Goodwood will also offer oneticket to the 2014 Festival of Speed to anyone who cannot make the new date, asa gesture of goodwill.
Any cancellations made after 30thSeptember 2013 will be considered as not caused by the rescheduleand managed in the normal way. We will make best efforts to resell themfor you but they will be offered for resale after we have cleared any placescaused by the date change. Any such places sold will be refunded in line withour normal T&C’s, back to the card account used to make the originalbooking.
The Committee are very sorry that we are having to do this,particularly after the Silverstone
re-schedule earlier in the year, but wereally don’t have any alternative.
This is our second visit here in 2013 and will be a four session perhour day. Each session will have 10 cars and last 15 mins. we expecteach car to have one and a half hours of track time during the dayassuming no stoppages. We are sorry but this day is only open toMG/Rover registered members, there is no option for compatible makes.There are no parade laps this time.We have one to one Instruction available in the morning and Coaching inthe afternoon. The cost for coaching includes all three afternoonsessions with the same instructor and gives a great opportunity to focus on any aspect of your driving you wish to develop. Once all the bookings are in we'll assign the sessions on the basis ofexperience, so that one session will be more suitable to beginners andthe less experienced track day drivers, two to intermediates and one tothe more experienced.
Cars must be roadworthy and comply with current MOT legislation. Youmust bring your FULL driving license to the sign-on - that's the plastic card AND the paper version, or you may not be allowed on track. All persons going on track must wear a suitable crash helmet of recognised manufacture and have arms and legs covered.InstructionWe encourage all drivers to take the opportunity of instruction with our Association of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) Grade A qualified instructors. We strongly advise all levels of experience to take advantage of these, but it is especially beneficial for first time and novice drivers. Book and pay at the same time you book your place.Please note we are unable to provide more than two instruction sessions per car. Any additional booked will be cancelled.CoachingWe are please to continue the popular afternoon coaching sessions with a dedicated ARDS instructor for your entire afternoon track time. It offers theopportunity to develop specific areas of you driving skills and soincrease your track day enjoyment. Before you spend any more cash onimprovements to your car consider this. Places are limited and the costis an unbelievable £30! Book and pay at the same time you book yourplace by selecting the coaching option.Helmet hireWe have a small number of helmets available to hire on a first come, first served basis and these can be booked online at the same time as you book your place.Second DriversYou can book to bring along a second driver but we can only allow one additional driver per car. The second driver must sit as passenger during the sighting laps and then perform his own sighting laps at a lower speed during his first session on track.

Goodwood section.You need to be logged in to the website to see the 'Book and Pay'button. Use this to make an online payment and secure your place. Debitor credit cards are the only payment methods that we are able to accept. Please note that payment by credit card incurs a 2.5% surcharge, as wecannot afford to absorb the charge that the credit card processingcompany makes.
