This is our first exciting opportunity to join our good friends at Lotus-on-Track at the Lotus test track at Hethel. Numbers are very limited so early booking is recommended.Details of the circuit can be found here http://www.lotusdrivingacademy.com/hethel/track There will be a session dedicated to MGs so you won't be mixing with the 'Exige club' on circuit although our session it will be open to all MG experience levels.We are sorry but this day is only open to MG/Rover registered members.Cars must be roadworthy and comply with current MOT legislation. Youmust bring your FULL driving license to the sign-on. All persons going on track must wear a suitable crash helmet of recognised manufacture and have arms and legs covered. Instruction We encourage all drivers to take the opportunity of instruction with our Association of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) Grade A qualifiedinstructors. We strongly advise all levels of experience to takeadvantage of these, but it is especially beneficial for first time andnovice drivers. Please book and pay at the same time you book your track day place.Please note we are unable to provide more than two instruction sessionsper car. Any additional booked will be cancelled.Helmet hireWe have a small number of helmets available to hire on a first come,first served basis and these can be booked online at the same time asyou book your place.Second DriversYou can book to bring along a second driver but we can only allow oneadditional driver per car. The second driver must sit as passengerduring the sighting laps and then perform his own sighting laps at alower speed during his first session on track. Details about the dayThe price for the day includes hot & cold drinks + sandwich for lunch, as there are no catering facilities available on site. Alternately you can bring your own food or take a trip to the local Waitrose during the lunch break.Access to the Lotus site is restricted. We are happy for you to bring a second driver or a passenger but they must arrive with you and you will be checked in at the gatehouse at the main entrance. The venue is not open to the general public or spectators. Cameras and photography are not allowed as there may be development cars around and Lotus obviously do not want these appearing on Facebook! In-car cameras are OK but must be solidly fitted, no suction mounts.We will e-mail an event guide with final instructions during the week before the event, please read it carefully when it arrives. Instruction

Coaching
MGoT is pleased to offer an opportunity to develop specific areas of your driving skills to increase your track day enjoyment. Before you spend any more cash on improvements to your car consider this. MGoT will now offer drivers, dedicated, one-on-one coaching with an ARDS instructor for your entire afternoon track time. Places are very limited and the cost is an unbelievable £50! Book and pay at the same time you book your place by selecting the coaching option.
Helmet Hire
We have helmets available to hire on a first come, first served basis and these can be booked online at the same time as you book your place.
Second Drivers
You can book to bring along a second driver but we can only allow one additional driver per car. The second driver must sit as passenger during the sighting laps and then perform their own sighting laps at a lower speed during their first session on track. If your second driver's experience is significantly different to your own, please discuss this with our event manager.
Passengers
Passengers are free, bring as many as you like but only one in a car at a time. Please either enter their names when you book or email the event manager to let them know.
Details about the day
We will email an event guide with final instructions about a week before the event. Please read it carefully when it arrives. The event guide will also be posted in the forum. This day is open to MGs and compatible marques. Please contact the Event Manager listed at the top of this page to ensure your non-MG is considered compatible. We reserve the right to cancel non compatibles.
Cars must be road legal and comply with current MoT legislation where appropriate (or be of MoT standard for race and track-only cars). Drivers must bring their FULL driving licence to sign-on. Failure to do this may mean you will not be allowed on track.

At our discretion, we will occasionally take bookings from MGoT members who have compatible cars other than MGs. Anyone wanting to book a non-MG should CONTACT US by phone or email. The online booking system is reserved for MGs or Rovers only.
