Donington, the fantastic Midlands circuit withthe famous Craner Curves, is back to its ususal place in our calendar this year. We hopeto see 50 MGs of various models having safe fun on track. We extend a welcome to LoT who will be taking one of the sessions makingthe day up to 75 cars. This is a three session per hour day with 7sessions each of 20 mins.We expect each car to have 2 hr 20 min of track time during the dayassuming no stoppages. There will be plenty of space on track,running 25 cars on the two mile circuit will give each car an average of about 140yards separation. First Timers This track day will also have a special 'First-Timer' offer! Weappreciate that your first time on track can appear to be a littledaunting so we are running one of the sessions especially forfirst-timers or inexperienced track drivers; offering extra support:-There are a limited number of FREE instruction sessions which we are offering to genuine first timers. This is limited to one free session per car. an instructor will give special, first-timer, group classroombriefings during the day to provide guidance on the circuit and trackdriving.experienced drivers will offer a buddy system. You will beallocated a buddy who will help you learn the ropes - from sign-on tothe end of the day.Instructionand CoachingWe regret that instruction or Coaching is not available in cars which are not fitted with seatbelts We encourage all drivers to take the opportunity of instruction with ourAssociation of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) Grade A qualified instructors. Westrongly advise all levels of experience to take advantage of these, but it isespecially beneficial for first time and novice drivers. Book and pay at thesame time you book your place. Please note we are unable to provide more thantwo instruction sessions per car. Any additional booked will be cancelled. Tohelp us schedule the instructor's time between the groups we have separated sessionsinto three types :-SightingLap Instruction. - Thisis ideal for first timers, your instruction will be first thing in the morningduring the sighting laps whilst there is no overtaking and cars are running ata slower pace. This allows plenty of time for the instructor to describe andguide you along the best line through the corners. There being no overtaking,you don't have the additional task load of keeping an eye in your rear mirrorfor approaching cars. NoviceInstruction - This is our standard instruction, carried out through the morning novice groupsessions. Please book this only if you are a novice or first timer. Advanced& Intermediate Instruction - Thisis our standard instruction, carried out through the morning intermediate andadvanced session. Please book this only if you are Experienced or Somewhatexperienced. CoachingMGoT is pleased to offer an opportunity to develop specific areas of you driving skills and so to increase your track day enjoyment. Three key items worth mentioning before you book :You must bring your FULL driving license to the sign-on - or you may not be allowed on track.All persons going on track must wear a suitable crash helmet of recognised manufacture and have arms and legs covered. Instruction
We encourage all drivers to take the opportunity of instruction with our Association of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) Grade A qualified instructors. We strongly advise all levels of experience to take advantage of this. Please note we are unable to provide more than two instruction sessions per car. Any additional booked will have to be cancelled. We regret that instruction is not available in cars which are not fitted with seatbelts.
Coaching
MGoT is pleased to offer an opportunity to develop specific areas of your driving skills to increase your track day enjoyment. Before you spend any more cash on improvements to your car consider this. MGoT will now offer drivers, dedicated, one-on-one coaching with an ARDS instructor for your entire afternoon track time. Places are very limited and the cost is an unbelievable £50! Book and pay at the same time you book your place by selecting the coaching option.
Helmet Hire
We have helmets available to hire on a first come, first served basis and these can be booked online at the same time as you book your place.
Second Drivers
You can book to bring along a second driver but we can only allow one additional driver per car. The second driver must sit as passenger during the sighting laps and then perform their own sighting laps at a lower speed during their first session on track. If your second driver's experience is significantly different to your own, please discuss this with our event manager.
Passengers
Passengers are free, bring as many as you like but only one in a car at a time. Please either enter their names when you book or email the event manager to let them know.
Details about the day
We will email an event guide with final instructions about a week before the event. Please read it carefully when it arrives. The event guide will also be posted in the forum. This day is open to MGs and compatible marques. Please contact the Event Manager listed at the top of this page to ensure your non-MG is considered compatible. We reserve the right to cancel non compatibles.
Cars must be road legal and comply with current MoT legislation where appropriate (or be of MoT standard for race and track-only cars). Drivers must bring their FULL driving licence to sign-on. Failure to do this may mean you will not be allowed on track.
Booking is only through this website

At our discretion, we will occasionally take bookings from MGoT members who have compatible cars other than MGs. Anyone wanting to book a non-MG should CONTACT US by phone or email. The online booking system is reserved for MGs or Rovers only.
