These must be worn by all drivers and passengers
At present, the following requirements apply (but may be subject to change in the future):
Helmet requirements for all circuits are a ‘suitable’ helmet approved for car, motorcycle or karting (with Kite-marking) and must be properly fitting and secured. It is your head you are protecting so it does not make sense to cut corners. MGoT recommend BS6658-85 or Snell 2000 as a minimum; if you are buying a new helmet it should be to Snell 2010 (or latest iteration).
Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park, Donington Park, Bedford, Anglesey and Hethel,
helmets must be worn in any open/convertible car,
including those fitted with Webasto/fabric sunroofs
, regardless of whether the soft-top is up or down.

At all of the above circuits
helmets are however permitted if the open/convertible car is fitted with a
hard-top, and in closed cars (including those fitted with glass sunroofs).
Goodwood, Castle Combe and Blyton,
helmets may be used in open/convertible cars. MGoT recommends suitable eye-protection is worn (visor or goggles). MGs on Track do not scrutineer; we require our members to self check that both their car and safety equipment is to the required standard. You will sign an indemnity for the day which has clauses confirming that you are conforming.
